The town of Deer Lake is situated at the mouth of the Humber River where it enters the waters of Deer Lake from which
the town derived its name. This lake is 30 miles long and approx. one mile wide in places. It is surrounded by majestic mountains
which is the home of Moose, Caribou, Black Bear and small game. To those mountains I set my compass to fish the cool mountain
streams for the runs of sea-trout and pond trout that are so plentiful, but can be elusive at times, and just to be with Nature.
A trip in the mountains with an old "black-ass kettle" and a fishin` rod can cure most any illness. Relieve
the stress and you cure the problem.
